Finch was born in La Mirada Calif. and began playing softball at 5. Her father Doug was her pitching coach. Jennie was the first to use the Finch Windmill when she was 10. When she was in high school, she pitched six perfect games and 13 no-hitters. Then she went to University of Arizona. University of Arizona where she was named an All-American three times and first baseman. The year 2001 was the year her Wildcats team was awarded the National Championship title as well as in 2002, she was awarded an award called the Honda Award for the best softballer of the nation. Wounded Warrior Softball Team's (WWAST) objective is to raise awareness about the sacrifices made by soldiers, their strength and their capacity to overcome obstacles through sporting events featuring celebrities and games for exhibition.
